A. John Gatz (Zoology) – Evolution, Duke University. Research interests: breeding biology of amphibians and ecology and the functional morphology of stream fishes.

Lynda Hall (Psychology) – Cognitive development, University of Notre Dame. Research interests: the maintenance of knowledge systems, acquisition of metacognitive knowledge and skills, and memory distortion.

Sarah Leupen - Zoology, Research interests: neuroendocrine axis controlling reproduction

David Lever (Chemistry) – Organic chemistry, University of Utah. Research interests: isolation and characterization of feather-degrading enzymes from bacterial sources and the development of a new methodology for the control of stereo- chemistry in organic reactions.

David Pengra (Physics) – University of Washington. Research interests: experimental condensed matter physics, electrokinetics and porous media, X-ray differentiation, and phase transitions at surfaces and interfaces.

Dennis Radabaugh (Zoology) – Animal behavior, The Ohio State University. Research interests: the behavioral adaptations of predators and prey; energy budgets and metabolic rates; and the biology of spiders.

David Robbins (Psychology) – Visual neuroscience, University of Delaware. Research interests: the neuronal mechanisms for encoding visual information particularly color and movement. Dr. Robbins is also investigating the susceptibility of the retina to light (laser) damage and the mechanism and extent of retinal recovery over time.

Dale Swartzentruber (Psychology) – Animal Learning, University of Vermont. Research interests: learning and memory mechanisms in pigeons with an emphasis on memory retrieval and associative interference in Pavlovian conditioning paradigms.

Danny Vogt (Chemistry) – Biochemistry, Northwestern University. Research interests: chemical modification of hemoglobin as a means for treating sickle cell anemia.

Alan Zaring (Computer Science) – Artificial intelligence, Cornell University. Research interests: programming languages, compilers, parallel computing, and programming environments.

Lewis Fikes (Chemistry) Organic chemistry, The Ohio State University. Research interests: designing and synthesizing enzyme mimics.

Anne Fry (Zoology) – Human anatomy, University of Massachusetts. Research interests: amphibian meta-morphosis. Dr. Fry is also skilled in histological techniques.
